How It Works

HOW DOES A TASTE THE WORLD WALKING AND SAMPLING TOUR WORK?

Tickets are required.

On the day of the event, please arrive at the starting point (Columbia Creative Factory, 247 Locust Street, Columbia, PA) between 5:15 and 7 p.m. Bring your confirmation email, either on your device or printed. You will receive a Taste the World passport, which includes a map and grants you access to the servings at the participating restaurants. You can plan the order of your stops, allowing a suggested minimum of 90 minutes to visit all the locations. At each restaurant, a greeter will welcome you, stamp your Taste the World passport, and give any specific instructions to receive your serving. We encourage you to take a look around, peek at the menu, and soak in the sights and aromas before heading off to the next destination.

This is not a "sit-down" progressive meal. Because of limited seating and time, you may eat while standing inside or outside the restaurants, or while walking to your next destination. Feel free to buy drinks and other menu items (either take-out or sit-down, as space and time allow).

Is this a family friendly event?
Yes! The tour is appropriate for people of any age! Children three years of age and younger may share their family's food and do not need a ticket. However, there is only one serving per passport at each restaurant.

What happens if there is inclement weather?
The tour will be held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately. We do not offer refunds.

What can I do if I have a ticket, but cannot attend?
Tickets are transferable! Forward (or print out and give) the confirmation email to someone else to use. To avoid possible confusion and delay at starting point, we ask that you contact us at least one day before the event to let us know name(s) of the person(s) who will be using your ticket(s).

Where can I park?
Street parking is free (not enforced) after 5 p.m. Free parking is also available in municipal lots.

Where are the participating eateries?
All the restaurants are within approximately a one-mile route. You will receive a map with your passport ticket. Here is a sample map:
